The BOATRACE Promotion Association (Minato-ku, Tokyo) will release the 7th episode, "Kanata's Growth," of the BOAT RACE 2026 CM series "From Zero to Pro: The Machida Instructor Story," featuring Keita Machida, Wikia First Summer, Katsuhisa Namase, Kanata Hosoda, Seira Anzai, and Haruto Yoshida, starting on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Additionally, Nanawo Akari's "Boysen Girls" will be used as the CM song from the 7th episode onwards and will be unveiled for the first time in this installment.

"Kanata," who has accumulated small improvements, finally blossoms. Pay attention to the words of female instructor "Wikia"!

Like watering flowers every day, we don't want to miss even the smallest signs of growth... The 7th episode, "Kanata's Growth," begins with a monologue from new instructor "Machida." "Kanata," once a problem child who couldn't keep up with training and whose withdrawal was feared, finally sees his earnest efforts bear fruit. "Machida" rejoices in "Kanata's" growth as if it were his own. And then, a warm word from female instructor "Wikia" upon seeing the scene. Please pay attention to the instructors and trainees who are pushing forward "from zero to pro" with the new, upbeat, and powerful CM song.

CM Story

Several months have passed since the 180th class entered. The training has moved to "applied training" that simulates actual races, and on the water, the problem child Kanata is attempting a two-boat turn. Yoshida:

I've been watching over something recently. It's a houseplant. (When asked about the type) I don't know its name, but I bought it at first sight.

Machida:

At first sight, you chose "this one!"

Yoshida:

I choose clothes at first sight too. Without thinking about the balance of tops and bottoms. They end up just sleeping in my closet as individual items.

Hosoda:

Do you have many houseplants at home?

Yoshida:

I have four. All of them were bought at first sight.

Machida:

But you don't know the names of any of them.

Yoshida:

I don't know any of their names (everyone laughs).

I do have a houseplant, too. I received it as a gift from an acquaintance on my birthday. It's a cactus, but you grow its roots. The bottom of the cactus is a clear stand, so you can see inside everything, and there's no soil. You just add water, and the roots grow.

Oh, I know that! (To Machida, who says "You know it") I almost fell in love with it at first sight.

Machida:

That was close (laughs). Also, personally, I'm currently nurturing a guitar. I bought my own guitar last year, so I'm nurturing that.

Hosoda:

Do you try to play it almost every night?

Machida:

Lately, there have been events, so I've been playing almost every day.
