Yuji Nitta (Mie Branch) Certified as the 16th 'Golden Racer'!

On Sunday, May 31, at the 'SG 53rd Boat Race All Star' held at Boat Race Hamanako, registered racer No. 4344 Yuji Nitta finished second in the 12th race final, earning the BOATRACE Promotion Council Chairman's Award medal.

With this, he achieved both certification criteria for the Golden Racer Award: (1) winning 24 or more BOATRACE Promotion Council Chairman's Award medals, and (2) winning 3 or more medals for 1st to 3rd place in the GRANDE5 final for the BOATRACE Promotion Council Chairman's Award.

On Thursday, June 4, the BOATRACE Promotion Council determined that Nitta met criterion (3) 'Maintains appropriate character as a Golden Racer and serves as a role model for others,' and decided to certify him as the 16th 'Golden Racer' as he fulfilled all criteria.

*The award ceremony will be held at a later date.

◆What is the 'Golden Racer Award'?

A title established in 2019 to honor outstanding achievements as a boat racer.

■Golden Racer Award Certification Criteria

(1) Boat racers who have been awarded 24 or more BOATRACE Promotion Council Chairman's Award medals.

(2) Boat racers who have been awarded 3 or more medals for 1st to 3rd place in the GRANDE5 final for the BOATRACE Promotion Council Chairman's Award.

(3) Those who maintain appropriate character as a Golden Racer and serve as a role model for others.

(2) Masters Champion / Anniversary Memorial: From April 2015 onwards
