As part of its response to carbon neutrality, Boat Racing has been testing the use of 'Ethanol 30% Blended Gasoline (E30 Gasoline)', which is considerate of the global environment, as fuel for racing motors at BOATRACE Biwako and BOATRACE Omura since May 2025.
As a result of the tests, it was confirmed that there was no impact on the content of the competition and no problems with racing performance. Therefore, starting with the BOATRACE Hamanako 'Rookie Series 8th SKY PerfecTV! JLC Cup' on the first day of April 9, 2026, we will sequentially introduce E30 gasoline in conjunction with the motor replacements at each racecourse.
By using E30 gasoline, it is expected that CO2 emissions will be reduced by approximately 12% to 15% compared to the conventionally used regular gasoline. The entire boat racing industry will aim to realize sustainable motorsports.
