The BMW & MINI Racing Committee (Secretariat: GIOMIC MOTORSPORT Co., Ltd. [Headquarters: Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi; Representative Director: Wataru Morishita]) is pleased to announce the launch of a new hands-on program, "Kids Mechanic," for BMW & MINI Racing 2026 (BMR.2026).

In addition to the thrilling racing experience of the BMW/MINI one-make series, BMR.2026 offers exclusive circuit-based content such as grid walks and pit tours. The newly introduced "Kids Mechanic" program adds "the value of learning and participating as a family" to these spectator experiences. By providing a space where children can learn about how cars work and the importance of maintenance, we aim to make motorsports more accessible and increase attendance among families.

● What is Kids Mechanic?

"Kids Mechanic" is a program where children can learn about the basics of racing cars and automotive maintenance through hands-on experience, understanding the inspections and procedures required for safe vehicle operation. By explaining themes such as tires, engine oil, tools, and inspections in an age-appropriate and easy-to-understand manner, we provide learning opportunities that go beyond mere "play."

This initiative is positioned not only to enhance the experience at race venues but also to promote understanding of automotive culture and manufacturing, while sparking interest in the automotive and motorsports industries for the future. We aim to provide a "spark for children to fall in love with cars" and a "car experience that families can enjoy together alongside watching the race" for parents.
