Blue Sky Associates Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takehito Kaneko) will fully renovate the seaside resort 'La Classe du Chenega' in the Yugawara-Manazuru area of Kanagawa Prefecture and rebrand it as 'HOTEL SWAY yugawara,' opening on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The new concept is 'a place where you can unwind both mind and body, enveloped in gentle swaying.' Located just 90 minutes from central Tokyo, the hotel offers a premium getaway where guests can surrender to the soothing rhythms of nature from private balconies in every room, all with panoramic ocean views overlooking Sagami Bay.

For this rebranding, multiple companies and creators have collaborated across various domains to shape HOTEL SWAY’s new value proposition. Sakurasaku Powers Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market-listed Sakurasaku Plus Co., Ltd., is participating as the owner. Operations will be managed by Ever Blue Sky Co., Ltd., a company focused on regional revitalization through accommodation management.

Architectural design is led by Masaki Kato of Puddle, preserving the resort’s refined character while creating harmonious, comfortable spaces that integrate with nature’s rhythms. The heated pool, enjoyable across three seasons, features an adjacent café serving original sweets crafted by the hotel’s patissier. Guests can savor blissful creative French cuisine in the spacious, open-concept restaurant. Additionally, eight new pet-friendly guest rooms have been added, allowing families to enjoy relaxed seaside time with their beloved dogs.

Positioned as a hub for local comfort in the Yugawara-Manazuru area, the hotel will continue to communicate new values of hospitality.

Logo

Two overlapping perspectives.

One is the bird’s-eye view of the hotel.

Yugawara’s beautiful coastline is stylized as the letter 'S,' with the position of 'HOTEL SWAY' marked by a circle.

The other is the view of the sea from the guest room.

The horizon is interpreted as 'S,' with the rising sun and the quietly floating moon symbolized by circles.

This is the symbol of 'HOTEL SWAY,' encapsulating both the land and the experience in a single form.

Background of the Rebranding

La Classe du Chenega has long been cherished by guests for its seaside location overlooking Sagami Bay and its serene, Western-style resort atmosphere.

Meanwhile, recent travel trends have shifted from visiting multiple tourist spots to staying at the hotel itself and savoring the local air, scenery, cuisine, and time. Particularly in areas near major cities, interest in 'nearby resorts'—places offering a seamless escape from daily life with minimal travel time—is growing.

HOTEL SWAY yugawara responds to these changes by re-editing the facility’s exceptional seaside location and the natural, culinary, and cultural assets of the Yugawara-Manazuru area. Architectural design is led by Masaki Kato of Puddle inc., known for creating comfortable spaces aligned with people’s lifestyles, including hotels and cafes worldwide. The color scheme and design evoke the ebb and flow of the tides, reflecting the essence of a seaside hotel.

Rather than a trip where one 'strives to enjoy,' HOTEL SWAY aims to offer stays that gently release the mind and body through the soothing sway of nature.

The Stay Experience Proposed by HOTEL SWAY

1. A seaside location just 90 minutes from central Tokyo

HOTEL SWAY is located in the Yugawara-Manazuru area, accessible within about 90 minutes from central Tokyo.

Without traveling far, guests can enjoy the extraordinary experience of being surrounded by Sagami Bay’s horizon, sunrise, moonlight reflecting on the water as a 'moon road,' starry skies, and the sound of waves.

The quiet, private environment, distanced from roads and foot traffic, is a unique charm of this location.

2. All rooms with ocean views—guest rooms that let you feel the sea, light, and wind

All guest rooms at HOTEL SWAY offer ocean views.

From the balconies, guests can enjoy the changing scenery of Sagami Bay throughout the day and across seasons.

Wake up to sunlight streaming from the sea in the morning, gaze at the sparkling water during the day, and be enveloped by the sound of waves and moonlight at night.

The hotel aims to make the time spent in the guest room itself the very purpose of the journey, even without a packed sightseeing itinerary.

3. Guest rooms where you can stay with your dog

Eight new guest rooms designed for guests traveling with their dogs have been added.

Enjoy a relaxed holiday with your beloved dog at a seaside hotel just 90 minutes from central Tokyo, avoiding long travel times.

Feel the sea from your room in the morning, take easy walks around the Yugawara-Manazuru area during the day, rest in your room during the hottest hours, and enjoy peaceful moments in the evening surrounded by the sound of waves. Instead of rushing somewhere with your dog, simply share the same view and the same moment.

HOTEL SWAY proposes a seaside reward stay where you and your dog, a cherished family member, can truly relax.

※Pet-friendly rooms are limited to eight. Please check the official website for usage conditions.

4. Creative French cuisine with local ingredients—re-editing the culinary charm of Yugawara and Manazuru

Building on the legacy of creative French cuisine from the previous hotel era, HOTEL SWAY will enhance the dining experience by incorporating regional ingredients and seasonal flavors.

Under the leadership of young chefs and a patissier, the hotel plans to develop unique dishes and sweets that blend local ingredients and culture with fresh perspectives—experiences available nowhere else.

5. A hotel-centered stay that enables 'unplanned relaxation'

HOTEL SWAY aims for holidays that aren’t overly scheduled, where guests can relax with the hotel at the center. A place where children can enjoy themselves without strain.

Where adults can rest their minds and bodies without overthinking.

Where families and companions can spend time together in the same space, each at their own pace.

While enjoying sightseeing and activities, guests can always return to the hotel, cherishing the comfort of having a safe haven to come back to.

The Meaning Behind the Brand Name 'HOTEL SWAY'

'SWAY' carries meanings of gentle swaying, moving the heart, and influencing. The shimmering water surface.

Curtains swaying in the wind.

The moonlight path illuminated by the moon.

The soothing sound of waves to the ears.

The name 'HOTEL SWAY' expresses the desire to deliver moments where guests can drift into relaxation, enveloped by nature’s gentle rhythms. The hotel also aims to gently stir guests’ sensibilities by re-editing local culture and specialties into art, signage, sweets, and services.

Future Developments

HOTEL SWAY will gradually release information through its official website, social media, and accommodation booking platforms toward the rebranding opening on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

In the second press release, the hotel will communicate its worldview and stay value by sharing concrete stay images, including guest rooms, restaurants, interior spaces, dining experiences, and ways to enjoy the surrounding area.
