Blue Bottle Coffee's Summer-Coloring 'NOLA' Returns This Year

Blue Bottle Coffee Japan LLC (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo) is delivering 'NOLA Summer' again this year, a season to enjoy 'NOLA (Nora)', a signature drink inspired by New Orleans coffee culture. It will be available for a limited time from Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Blue Bottle Coffee cafes nationwide*.

Brand founder James Freeman, in his search for a new drink to replace iced lattes, encountered the traditional New Orleans coffee culture of enjoying coffee with chicory mixed with milk. Inspired by that free and creative coffee culture, the signature drink 'NOLA' was born. Its taste, which evokes the free spirit of New Orleans, brings a touch of playfulness and a luxurious moment to everyday coffee time.

NOLA, made with chicory-blend coffee carefully extracted over a long time, mixed with milk and cane sugar, is characterized by its lightly sweet, creamy, and deep flavor. It is enjoyed by many guests as one of Blue Bottle Coffee's iconic drinks, a cup that can be enjoyed like a dessert even in the hot season.

This summer, in addition to the classic 'Iced Nola', we will also offer 'Nola Cold Foam' with its silky foam gently layered, and the luxurious 'Nola Float' topped with Biei single-origin milk ice cream, for a limited time. You can enjoy the sweet and creamy charm of NOLA in a variety of styles unique to this season. Starting around June, when summer is in full swing, guests ordering for takeout will be served in cups featuring the NOLA logo. You can enjoy the unique NOLA world from the moment you hold it.

It is one of Blue Bottle Coffee's signature drinks, a blend of cold-brewed chicory coffee extracted slowly over time, mixed with milk and cane sugar. Through repeated trials and errors to express the familiar taste of the cafe, we have created a fragrant granular form of coffee blended with specialty coffee and chicory. You can enjoy the subtle, gentle sweetness and the unique richness of chicory. Simply dissolve the granules in water and add ice and your preferred milk, such as cow's milk or oat milk, to easily enjoy a cup of NOLA anytime. A brunch plate that comfortably enriches your morning time, allowing you to enjoy plenty of vegetables. It's a satisfying dish where fresh salads, colorful grilled vegetables, avocado, onion, and boiled free-range eggs are arranged on one plate along with a savory waffle, allowing you to enjoy a balanced mix of ingredients. From Thursday, April 30th, it will be served with soy romesco sauce using red bell peppers and plain hummus. You can choose from the satisfying 'Comple' served with grilled bacon, or the light 'Vegetable' with vegetables as the main focus. Additionally, some cafes offer bread from local bakeries.
