Bullet Group Selected for 'Second Phase Hiroshima AI Sandbox'

Bullet Group Co., Ltd. has been selected for the 'Second Phase Hiroshima AI Sandbox' initiative launched by Hiroshima Prefecture and will begin an AI demonstration project in collaboration with Etajima City to achieve comprehensive welfare support. This demonstration will verify the feasibility of securely organizing and utilizing information scattered across the city's welfare departments to assist staff in making support decisions.

What Will Be Demonstrated?

Cases where a single household faces multiple challenges—such as caregiving, child-rearing, and financial hardship—are increasing, making it essential to have a cross-sectional understanding of a family’s overall situation for appropriate support. However, the current system faces the following challenges:

Structural Issues: Municipal information is managed and fragmented by system and department.

On-site Burden: Staff must manually contact other departments and cross-check information individually.

This demonstration will verify whether AI can securely organize and utilize documents and consultation records scattered across various service windows to support staff decision-making. The development team and Etajima City staff will work together on-site to build a system that can be introduced without significantly altering existing workflows, while strictly protecting residents’ privacy.

What is the Hiroshima AI Sandbox?

The 'Hiroshima AI Sandbox' is an AI demonstration support program promoted by Hiroshima Prefecture. It matches private AI developers with local demonstration fields to support real-world AI applications. In FY2026, 17 projects were selected, and Bullet Group has been selected for both the first and second phases.

Why Etajima City?

Bullet Group has established a development hub, 'COCODEMO Etajima,' within Etajima City. Having a local base enables employees to engage with regional issues as residents themselves, which is a significant strength. Leveraging past collaboration experiences, this advantage allows for closer, more practical coordination aligned with on-site realities.

From Etajima to Hiroshima, and Nationwide

Insights gained from this demonstration will be structured for broad use by municipalities facing similar challenges. Leveraging the experience accumulated through COCODEMO Etajima’s deep community integration, the project aims to develop a scalable model that can expand from Hiroshima to the entire nation, contributing to the realization of AI-driven comprehensive welfare support.
