Light-Adjusting Vertical Blind "Aire" Renewed

Tachikawa Blind Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Capital: 4.475 billion yen; President and CEO: Hisaya Ikezaki) will expand the light-adjusting vertical blind "Aire" with new specifications optimal for large opening windows, and will release it on August 3, 2026 (Mon).

Background

In recent years, with the adoption of large opening windows in homes and the diversification of their shapes, the needs for window treatment products have been changing and diversifying.

The light-adjusting vertical blind "Aire," in particular, has become popular as a new window treatment item that combines design, functionality, and convenience, offering a soft and beautiful design like curtains, a light-adjusting function to control external light, and a structure that allows passage through the independently spaced slats.

We will now enhance our support for large opening windows by expanding the "center-opening" specification, which disperses the folded stack to both sides, and the "two-unit installation" specification, which allows two products to be installed side-by-side on windows too wide for a single unit.

New Specifications

1 Addition of "Center-Opening" to disperse the folded stack to both sides

By adding the "center-opening" specification, which disperses the folded stack to both sides, the visual bulk of the folded stack when closed is reduced. Customers can now choose between single-opening and center-opening based on the window shape and interior layout. The newly added center-opening features our unique new structure, designed to prevent gaps at the center meeting point even when light is admitted, combining design and comfort.

The structure ensures that the gap in the center is not noticeable during light admission, even with the center-opening specification.

2 Addition of "Two-Unit Installation" to accommodate large opening windows that cannot be made with a single unit

The "two-unit installation" specification involves installing two single-opening products side-by-side to function like a single center-opening unit. When combined with the "two-unit joint" specification, which supports widths up to 6 meters, it can accommodate widths up to a maximum of 12 meters. This specification is ideal for the large opening windows with scenic views and a sense of openness that are increasingly common in condominiums and other residences, realizing a comfortable living space. Furthermore, the "two-unit installation" can combine units of different sizes on the left and right, making it adaptable to various window shapes, including single-slide windows.
