BLANC Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takuya Yamanaka; hereinafter 'the Company'), which produces and operates nature-symbiotic hotels, has decided to open 'BLANC NIKKO', its fourth domestic base, in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, in autumn 2026.

Concurrently, sales of the hotel ownership program for this property will begin on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

Limited to 4 rooms. This property is located in a forest along a stream near the World Heritage site, Nikko Toshogu Shrine, and all rooms are equipped with private cypress wood bathtub hot springs. We offer a completely private stay experience, as if you have the nature of Nikko all to yourself.

Why BLANC was drawn to this forest

What the Company values most in selecting its bases is the commitment to 'whether we can offer a special experience found nowhere else.' A space like a 'hideaway' where visitors can forget their daily lives and deeply immerse themselves in nature. That is the form BLANC has consistently pursued. The forest along the stream overlooking Jakko Falls upstream of the Damosawa River. Mossy stones, sunlight filtering through the trees, the serene air of a sacred forest. When we stood on this land, we felt that there was no need to add anything extra. 'As you proceed down a narrow path, the world of BLANC unfolds.' For the Company, which has selected its bases based on this standard, Nikko is the place where one can immerse themselves in nature most deeply than ever before. We want our guests to focus solely on the nature before them and themselves, without any disturbance. The scale of BLANC NIKKO, with only 4 rooms, was born from this desire.

Private Space to Spend with Nature

BLANC NIKKO has only 4 guest rooms.

All guest rooms are in an independent villa style. All rooms are equipped with private cypress wood bathtub hot springs, allowing guests to enjoy private baths 24 hours a day.

Each building is arranged to follow the Damosawa River stream, making use of the undulating terrain as it is. From every guest room, you can enjoy views that seem to concentrate the nature of Nikko: the clear flow of water, mossy rocks, and sunlight filtering through the trees.

'With the theme of coexistence with nature and utilizing nature as it is, we arranged each building to follow the undulating terrain. By planning the facilities along the Damosawa River, we designed it so that all trailers can enjoy views of the clear water flow, stones, moss, and sunlight filtering through the trees – truly 'nature concentrated in Nikko.'

Another feature is that all guest rooms have hot springs, allowing guests to relax in nature after exploring Nikko. Furthermore, in this project, we are actively promoting the use of domestic materials and sustainable materials, such as using Tono Hinoki wood, also used in Shikinen Sengu (periodic shrine rebuilding), for interior finishes and using old wood for table tops.'

Tomoki Hiramoto, born in 1987 in Hyogo Prefecture. After completing graduate school at Keio University, he gained experience in structural design and design fields before establishing wip in 2015. He has worked on projects such as the podium project for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the drone show direction for the Olympic opening ceremony, and Tokyu Stay Hida Takayama.
