Bunkyo University (President: Tsutomu Fukui) signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with the Fujimino City Council of Social Welfare (Chairperson: Kumiko Ichiki) on June 29, 2026, to promote regional welfare and solve regional issues.
Through its Regional Cooperation Center BICS, which connects communities and students through volunteer activities, the university has accumulated experience in interacting with local residents and providing practical learning opportunities through student volunteer activities and exchange programs.
This comprehensive partnership agreement has been concluded to further strengthen the development of human resources for regional welfare and the response to regional issues.

Purpose of the Agreement
Through this agreement, we will establish regular consultation forums to share information on regional issues and needs, promote specific initiatives such as creating learning opportunities and awareness activities for local residents, conducting research on regional welfare, and developing human resources.
Furthermore, by expanding opportunities for students to learn in the field of regional welfare and work alongside local residents, we aim to deepen their understanding of the local community and foster individuals equipped with practical skills and problem-solving abilities.
By combining the educational and research expertise of the university with the community network and practical capabilities of the Council of Social Welfare, we will contribute to the improvement of regional welfare and the creation of sustainable communities.

Under this agreement, we will mutually cooperate and collaborate in the following areas:
(1) Education and human resource development.
(2) Joint research.
(3) Support for persons with disabilities.
(4) Support for the elderly.
(5) Support for children and childcare.
(6) Volunteer support.

(8) Other matters related to the improvement of regional welfare services and regional revitalization.
