PRAESIDUS to Release New DD-45 and Arctic Field Collections on May 16

Beyond Cool Co., Ltd., which operates the watch select shop H°M’S” WatchStore, will launch two new collections from American military watch brand PRAESIDUS: the DD-45, a modern reconstruction of the World War II-era Dirty Dozen, and the Arctic Field, developed for extremely cold environments. The DD-45 traces its roots to the Dirty Dozen watches supplied to the British military in 1945. PRAESIDUS preserves the historic design while updating it for modern use. The model retains traditional elements such as a highly legible black dial, railway minute track, and small seconds, while adding 10ATM water resistance, a screw-down crown, and a double-domed sapphire-coated crystal. It is powered by a U.S.-made Ameriquartz movement, offering accuracy and ease of maintenance. Its 40mm case maintains the character of a classic military watch while improving everyday wearability. The DD-45 is priced at ¥71,500 including tax. The Arctic Field is based on PRAESIDUS’s popular Jungle Field model and enhances legibility and practicality for harsh environments such as cold regions and snowy fields. Keeping its vintage-like 34mm case size, it features a high-contrast dial designed for icy and snowy conditions. The collection comes in white, blue, and ice blue, each expressing a different military-inspired color scheme. Equipped with a TMI VH31 meca-quartz movement, it combines quartz accuracy with a mechanical-style sweeping seconds hand. With a sandblasted case, 5ATM water resistance, and sapphire-coated crystal, it offers durable specifications suitable for both daily use and outdoor activities. The Arctic Field builds on the heritage of Vietnam War-era military field watches while adding a new concept of cold-weather readiness. Each model is priced at ¥49,500 including tax. Since its founding in 2019, PRAESIDUS has gained attention as a brand that reinterprets historic military watches for the present day. Its identity is also shaped by high-quality assembly in Phoenix, Arizona, along with support for veterans and the preservation of military history. Although the Arctic Field and DD-45 OG come from different historical backgrounds, both share PRAESIDUS’s philosophy of creating reliable watches for demanding environments. The new models will be released first at H°M’S” WatchStore Omotesando and Osaka on Saturday, May 16, 2026, followed by general sales through the official H°M’S” WatchStore online store from Monday, May 25.
