Hosting a children's cafeteria in this large space
Hosting a Children's Cafeteria — How we engage with the community as an architecture company —
Best Stage will host a "Children's Cafeteria" as part of our community contribution activities. We do not believe that the role of an architecture company is solely to build buildings. Being close to people's lives through space, nurturing the time and connections born in that place, and getting involved in the future of the community—we believe these are also roles and missions expected of us.
This children's cafeteria is one of the initiatives that shapes those feelings. Creating a place where children can gather with peace of mind, surround themselves with a warm meal, and share time with someone. Beyond just providing meals, we want to create a place in the community where they feel like "I want to come again."
Providing a place where people naturally connect with each other, while utilizing the perspective of space creation cultivated as an architecture company. Best Stage will continue initiatives that look ahead to the lifestyles and relationships with the community beyond the buildings.
Event Overview (Date/Time, Location, Target)
We are preparing to host the children's cafeteria around autumn this year. We plan to utilize our own building located in Naema, Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture, as the venue.
Scheduled: Around Autumn 2026 Location: Model house in Naema, Fujimino City Target: Local community members
We want to make this a place where everyone living in the community, including local children and guardians, can gather casually and spend time with peace of mind. Currently, we are in the preparation stage of shaping specific details, such as considering cooperation with the community and operational methods. We will gradually prepare to make it a place where local residents can participate with peace of mind.
Responsibility to the Community Accompanying Company Growth
Representative Tsubakiuchi regularly says the following:
"The more a company grows, the greater its responsibility to the community. As an architecture company, we must seriously consider what we can do."
As the number of constructed buildings increases and our business expands, we are once again realizing that we are a company supported by the community. How should we respond to that responsibility? One of the concrete actions in response to that question was to create a "space" where children can gather safely.

The Current Situation Surrounding Children
In today's society, there are not a few children who cannot get sufficient meals, who often eat alone, or who have few places where they can feel safe. A children's cafeteria is an initiative to deliver "warm meals" and "safe time."
However, what we aim for is not just providing meals. It is preparing a space where children gather naturally, smile, and feel they want to come back. We thought that precisely because we are an architecture company, we could support this through the power of space.
Wanting to Serve the Fish I Caught
Actually, Representative Tsubakiuchi is a born fishing enthusiast, so passionate that he boards a boat to fish once a week. When the idea of the children's cafeteria came up, the very first thing the representative said was, "I would be happy if the children could eat the fish I caught myself."
Fish caught by Representative Manabu Tsubakiuchi
Even if it's not a special dish, a dining table gathered around by everyone has the power to make people smile. By cooking and serving the fish he caught himself, wouldn't it become a fun time and memory for the children? ―― Such feelings are also incorporated into this initiative.
"Space Creation" Possible Precisely Because We Are an Architecture Company
The children's cafeteria was planned because the model house for our new non-residential product "BEST-BOX" was completed this March in Naema, Fujimino City, near the Best Stage headquarters. The design philosophy of imagining "people's movement," "comfort," and "how it is used," which Best Stage always cherishes, is common to both apartment construction and contract construction. The children's cafeteria is an initiative to expand that philosophy to the community.
New Product "BEST-BOX"
BEST-BOX is a non-residential architectural brand newly developed by Best Stage, utilizing the wooden construction technology cultivated in apartment construction. By adopting Lumbertech Co., Ltd.'s patented construction method "LID Truss," we have achieved a large space with a maximum span of 22m despite being a wooden structure.
Due to the structure that supports the load with the entire roof, it is possible to create an open space with few pillars, allowing highly flexible layouts according to the purpose. In addition, the method of processing materials at the factory and assembling them on-site leads to a reduction in the construction period. It is a building that can accommodate various business uses, including warehouses, offices, stores, and garages, as well as nursery schools, elderly care facilities, clinics, and sports facilities.
BEST-BOX
This building has features such as:
・ A large space with few pillars
・ A design with good visibility where voices and presence reach
・ A structure that does not feel cramped even when multiple generations gather
We will utilize this space as a place where children and local residents can naturally gather and spend time with peace of mind.
Not as a Passing Trend, but as a Corporate Stance
The children's cafeteria is not merely an event. It is an initiative to reconsider our relationship with the community and to translate our responsibility as an architecture company into concrete actions.
We have always valued our stance of walking alongside the community through support for local sports and various donation activities. The children's cafeteria is an activity on an extension of this. Continuing to be a company needed by the community while utilizing our architectural expertise. We believe that the accumulation of these efforts leads to trust as a company.
