We Will Host a Children's Cafeteria - How a Construction Company Engages with the Community -

As part of its community contribution activities, Best Stage will host a "Children's Cafeteria." We do not believe that building structures is the sole role of a construction company. We believe our role and mission also involve supporting people's lives through space, nurturing the time and connections created there, and engaging with the future of the community.

This Children's Cafeteria is one initiative that gives form to these aspirations. Our goal is to create a place where children can gather safely, share time with others while enjoying a warm meal, and foster a sense of belonging that makes them want to return, going beyond just providing food.

Leveraging the spatial design expertise cultivated as a construction company, we aim to provide a venue where people can connect naturally. Best Stage will continue to pursue initiatives that look beyond buildings to the lives and relationships within the community.

We are currently preparing to hold the Children's Cafeteria around autumn of this year. We plan to utilize our company's building located in Naema, Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture.

We aim to create a place where local children, their guardians, and all community members can gather casually and spend time with peace of mind. We are currently in the process of finalizing concrete plans, including collaboration with the community and operational methods. We will proceed with preparations step by step to ensure it becomes a place where everyone in the community can participate with confidence.

The Current Situation Surrounding Children

In today's society, there are a significant number of children who do not have enough to eat, often eat alone, or lack safe places to belong. Children's cafeterias are initiatives that deliver "warm meals" and "safe time.".

However, our goal is not merely to provide meals. We aim to create a space where children can naturally gather, smile, and want to come back. We believe that as a construction company, we can support this through the power of space.

We Want to Serve Fish We've Caught

In fact, our representative, Manabu Tsubanai, is an avid angler who goes out on his boat to fish about once a week. When the idea of a Children's Cafeteria came up, the first thing he said was, "I would be happy if I could serve the fish I catch to the children."

Even if it's not a special dish, a meal shared together has the power to make people smile. We believe that by cooking and serving the fish he catches himself, it will create a fun time and lasting memories for the children. This sentiment is also embedded in this initiative.

"Space Creation" Only a Construction Company Can Do

The Children's Cafeteria was planned following the completion of the model house for "BEST-BOX," our new non-residential product, in Naema, Fujimino City, near Best Stage's headquarters in March of this year. The design philosophy that Best Stage cherishes daily – imagining "people's movement," "comfort," and "how it's used" – is common to both apartment construction and contract construction. The Children's Cafeteria is an initiative to extend that philosophy to the community.

New Product "BEST-BOX"

BEST-BOX is a new non-residential architectural brand from Best Stage, utilizing the wooden construction technology cultivated through apartment building. By adopting the patented "LID Truss" construction method from Lumber Tech Co., Ltd., it achieves large spans of up to 22 meters, even in wooden structures.

The structure, which supports the load across the entire roof, allows for an open space with fewer columns, enabling highly flexible layouts according to intended use. Furthermore, the method of processing components in the factory and assembling them on-site shortens construction time. It is a building suitable for various business applications, including warehouses, offices, stores, garages, as well as nursery schools, elderly care facilities, clinics, and sports facilities.
