The contest to determine Japan's best accommodations, 'BEST OF ACTIVITY STAY,' hosted by Keisuke Sakakibara (Minpaku expert) and Natsuki Tajiri (Vacation Rental expert) of Minpaku Kakumei Co., Ltd., was held concurrently with 'BEST OF MINPAKU 2026' on February 23, 2026, at Makuhari Messe.
Many visitors also attended the 'Minpaku EXPO JAPAN 2026' and the 'Minpaku Grand Seminar,' which were held simultaneously from February 21 to 23, 2026, serving as a hub to experience the forefront of the tourism and lodging industry, including the latest in vacation rentals, private lodging, and glamping.
'BEST OF ACTIVITY STAY 2026' is a contest that recognizes accommodations offering the best lodging experiences in Japan. It aims to promote the appeal of these facilities, improve the image of private lodging, strengthen customer attraction, and foster the development of the entire industry and networking among operators.
For 'BEST OF MINPAKU 2026,' which determines the best private lodging in Japan, 1,495 facilities from across the country entered. In the 'BEST OF ACTIVITY STAY' category, 'Japavista Unlimited' (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) took the top spot.
The contest, hosted by Keisuke Sakakibara and Natsuki Tajiri, has garnered attention as an event that showcases new possibilities for the Japanese lodging industry.
