Berise, a company specializing in XR and AI technology, has completed the development and pilot testing of its 'EXR' XR emergency training simulator in FY2025 as part of the 'Yamaguchi Digital Implementation Project.' The project has been approved to continue in FY2026, and a demonstration event was held on May 15 for all 12 fire headquarters in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

## Background and Purpose
Yamaguchi Prefecture faces a high aging rate of 35.5%, leading to increased emergency demand. Geographical disparities between urban and mountainous areas in ambulance transport times present a challenge, making the provision of standardized training critical to prevent a decline in survival rates. Berise aims to solve these social issues through 'EXR,' which provides training independent of location or time.

## FY2025 Achievements
In pilot programs conducted with the Shimonoseki City Fire Department and the Iwakuni District Fire Association, improvements in educational outcomes were confirmed through simulations of cardiovascular and neurological disease cases. Surveys indicated that approximately 94% of participants found the system more effective than traditional lectures, and about 88% saw value in implementing it for in-house training.

## Future Initiatives and Prospects
In FY2026, the company will focus on pursuing greater medical reality and enhancing system functions. Additional pilot tests are scheduled for July and December, with the ultimate goal of deploying the simulator across multiple fire headquarters in Yamaguchi Prefecture and establishing a shared utilization model.
