Specified Skills Support Operations Management System "Linkus" Launches Document Generation Feature for Specified Skills 2

BEENOS HR Link Inc. Background of the "Specified Skills 2 Application Document Generation Feature" Launch

In the Specified Skills system, the transition and employment of "Specified Skills 2" for foreign nationals with advanced skills are becoming more substantial. As of the end of December 2024, there were 832 foreign nationals with Specified Skills 2 status, but this is projected to increase by approximately 9.5 times to 7,955 by the end of December 2025, with more companies organizationally supporting their employees in obtaining Specified Skills 2 status※1.

Under Specified Skills 2, the support operations that were mandatory under Specified Skills 1 are no longer required. However, even after the support obligation is removed, the need to handle procedural complexities and ongoing employment management remains strong. Furthermore, the application procedures for residence status themselves are still complex and place a significant administrative burden on accepting companies.

Against this backdrop, "Linkus" has newly added a feature that allows for the easy generation of various application documents for Specified Skills 2 within the system. The use of this feature will further reduce the "burden of daily administrative procedures and document creation related to the employment of foreign nationals."

Overview of the New Feature

With the introduction of this feature, the following residence status application documents required to work under Specified Skills 2 can now be automatically generated on "Linkus":

This feature is, in principle, an additional function for accepting company accounts and specified skills foreign national accounts. However, it can also be used by registered support organization accounts if they are handling support operations for their own company or group companies.

1. Supports all three application types

Certification: Application for newly inviting individuals residing overseas as Specified Skills 2.

Change: Application for changing residence status to Specified Skills 2 for those residing under other statuses (including job changes).

Renewal: Application for extending the period for those already residing under Specified Skills 2 (residence period renewal).

2. Covers all 11 industries for Specified Skills 2

Supports the creation of application documents for all of the following target industries:

Building Cleaning, Industrial Product Manufacturing, Construction, Shipbuilding and Marine Industries, Automobile Maintenance, Aviation, Accommodation, Agriculture, Fishery, Food and Beverage Manufacturing, Food Service Industry
