Route Inn BC League to Hold Large-Scale Data Measurement Session for Approximately 240 Players

The professional baseball independent league, Route Inn BC League (Baseball Challenge League), will hold a "Performance Data Measurement Session" for its league players over two days on Tuesday, April 14th, and Wednesday, April 15th, 2026.

This large-scale initiative, involving approximately 240 players, aims to visualize each player's current standing by collectively acquiring specialized data on body composition, athletic ability, and pitching/hitting.

While the Route Inn BC League has conducted data measurements in the past to develop players aiming for NPB and overseas leagues, this year we are deepening that positioning and shifting our focus from "measurement" to "development."

On the day of the event, we will conduct specialized measurements of physical fitness, baseball skills, and body composition. Later, individual reports will be created for each player, providing an opportunity for them to identify their own strengths and challenges through the data and connect it to their next stage of growth.

Furthermore, this measurement session will also focus on providing continuous growth support, such as creating opportunities for feedback after the measurements and implementing re-measurements throughout the season.

The data obtained from this measurement session will be accumulated as an asset to support player growth. By communicating its value to NPB and overseas teams, we will also connect it to the creation of new opportunities for our players.

By leveraging the flexibility and speed unique to an independent league and promoting the construction of a new data-driven development model, the Route Inn BC League will continue to create an environment that expands the potential of our players.

Features of this Measurement Session

This session is not designed to be a one-off measurement, but rather a continuous development program to support player growth.

・After the measurement, a performance data feedback session will be held for all players to support their understanding of the data and clarification of their individual challenges.

・Around September 2026, a re-measurement is planned for selected players to visualize their growth from the April measurement. This will be an activity to connect to continuous performance improvement and the setting of new goals.

【Body Composition】Body fat percentage, muscle mass, skeletal muscle balance, etc.

【Physical Fitness】30m dash (photoelectric tube measurement), jump measurement

【Pitchers】Velocity, spin rate, movement (using Trackman & Rapsodo)

【Batters】Exit velocity, launch angle, distance (using BlastMotion, Trackman & Rapsodo)
