Route Inn BC League Hosts Large-Scale Data Measurement Event with Approximately 240 Participants

The professional baseball independent league, the Route Inn BC League (Baseball Challenge League), is holding a "Performance Data Measurement Event" for its affiliated players over two days, Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

This event is a large-scale initiative involving approximately 240 players, with the goal of visualizing the current status of each individual by collectively acquiring professional data regarding body composition, physical ability, as well as pitching and hitting.

While the Route Inn BC League has previously conducted data measurements to develop players aiming for NPB or overseas leagues, this year it is deepening that positioning by evolving the initiative from mere "measurement" to "development."

During the event, specialized measurements regarding physical fitness, baseball skills, and body composition will be conducted, with individual reports created for each player at a later date. This provides an opportunity for players to realize their strengths and areas for improvement through data, leading to their next stage of growth.

Furthermore, in this event, the league is committed to supporting continuous growth, such as creating opportunities for feedback after measurement and conducting re-measurements throughout the season.

Additionally, the data obtained at this event will be accumulated as an asset to support player growth, and by sharing its value with NPB and overseas clubs, the league will work to create new opportunities for its players.

By leveraging the flexibility and speed unique to an independent league and building a new development model based on data, the Route Inn BC League will continue to work on creating an environment that expands the possibilities for its players.

Features of this measurement event

This event is designed not as a "measure and end" project, but as a continuous development program that supports player growth.

・Following the measurement, a performance data feedback session will be held for all players to support their understanding of the data and clarification of their self-identified issues.

・Re-measurement by selected players is scheduled for around September 2026 to visualize growth since the April measurement. This will serve as an activity to connect to continuous performance improvement and the setting of subsequent goals.

【Body Composition】Body fat percentage, muscle mass, skeletal muscle balance, etc.

【Physical Fitness】30m sprint (photoelectric tube measurement), jump power measurement

【Pitchers】Ball velocity, spin rate, movement (using Trackman and Rapsodo)

【Position Players】Batted ball velocity, launch angle, distance (using BlastMotion, Trackman, and Rapsodo)
