JOURNAL STANDARD relume, operated by BAYCREW'S Co., Ltd. headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, will release exclusive made-to-order shorts in collaboration with workwear brand Dickies®. Pre-orders are currently available through the BAYCREW'S online store. The Dickies® TUCK SHORTS are designed under the concept of turning work shorts into slacks that adults can wear. This special pair was custom ordered by JOURNAL STANDARD relume from the pattern stage in collaboration with Dickies®, a workwear brand supported worldwide. Based on the rugged workwear mood characteristic of Dickies®, the shorts incorporate dress-inspired details such as double pleats and double-finished hems. The result is a refined pair of adult shorts that does not feel overly casual. The silhouette is a wide baggy fit with room from the waist through the hem, while the slightly longer inseam creates a calm balance that covers the knees. The shorts also feature a logo D-ring that can hold a keychain or similar accessories, a detail previously used on the well-received Dickies® exclusive pintuck wide slacks. Workwear-inspired functional details are scattered throughout, adding relume's playful touch to this special design. The fabric is Dickies®' signature TC twill, made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton. It has a firm, durable texture, resists losing its shape, and is practical for daily wear. With repeated wear and washing, the fabric gradually softens, allowing the wearer to enjoy the texture that develops over time.
