Baycrew's Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Shigeru Sugimura), which operates the art gallery , will hold its 12th exhibition, Uruma Takezawa's solo show 'Boundaries,' starting Thursday, April 23, 2026.
This photo exhibition consists of about 50 photographs, covering the work of photographer Uruma Takezawa from his early collection 'Walkabout' to his latest 'Boundary' series. The subjects, photographed in South America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands, are 'the earth' and majestic natural landscapes, which also include the figures of the people who live there.
Deep in the lush jungle, in a village beyond a sandstorm, crossing mountains and seas, he encounters people at every turn. They live far away from us, valuing tradition and culture, as if embraced by nature. There, all humans exist as a part of the earth, and when our eyes meet theirs, the dualistic boundary between 'nature and human' that we usually perceive dissolves.
This photo exhibition presents the essential beauty born from the relationship between nature and humanity in the form of 'the earth,' while inviting the viewer into a world beyond all boundaries—borders, race, religion, and ideology.
