We support April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day to send out dreams. This press release is a dream of "BAY-SHOT".
BAY-SHOT, an indoor golf bar & lesson studio in Yokohama's Bashamichi (Operated by: BAY-SHOT Inc.; Representative: Kiyoaki Tsuzuki), in collaboration with Yasuhiro Takeuchi, who practices functional neurology with many athletes, will launch Japan's first golf swing improvement program based on functional neurology, the "Nou-Gol Method," starting April 1st (Wednesday).

■ Background and Challenges
With approximately 5.8 million golfers in Japan (※Leisure White Paper), many golfers struggle with issues such as "my score doesn't improve even with practice," "I fall apart on the course," or "I can't increase my distance."
Traditional golf schools and lessons have primarily focused on correcting "form." However, from the perspective of functional neurology, the fundamental cause of a collapsing swing is not the muscles or the form itself, but rather a "misalignment in neural transmission from the brain (information processing error)." The "Nou-Gol Method" focuses on this root cause and aims to improve swings at an unconscious level by adjusting the brain's neural circuits.
■ What is Functional Neurology?
Functional neurology is an approach that stimulates the brain through body movements to enhance sensory and motor abilities. Originally developed for the treatment of neurological patients, its application in improving sports performance is now rapidly expanding.
The unique program "Nou-Gol Method" offered by BAY-SHOT is an approach developed based on the knowledge of functional neurology, setting it apart from conventional golf lessons. Instead of correcting form (output) as before, it focuses on "input" such as vision and vestibular sense, and brain processing, to create a state where the body can move correctly. Golf, unlike a flat driving range, is a sport where simply "standing correctly" is difficult due to slopes and hole locations. If the body's balance and spatial awareness are not functioning properly, unconscious misalignments occur, leading to mis-shots. The Nou-Gol Method resets these "sensory misalignments" before a round, guiding the golfer to a state of stable performance in any situation.
The goal is not to change the swing, but to create the condition for a correct swing to emerge. This is a new approach that directly leads to score improvement.

■ Brain/Nerve Trainer: Yasuhiro Takeuchi
The program is supervised and instructed by brain/nerve trainer Yasuhiro Takeuchi.
He was exposed to cutting-edge training theories through his experience as a coach for a German football club, analyzing and reconstructing their structure. After returning to Japan, he provided instruction to professional clubs such as Urawa Reds.
Subsequently, he integrated applied methods of functional neurology and refined them into his unique methodology.
With over 17 years of coaching experience in Japan and Germany and a track record of instructing over 1,000 people, he focused on the golf swing, which transitions from static to dynamic, unlike soccer. He has now developed a unique method in collaboration with BAY-SHOT, merging functional neurology with the latest motor learning theories.

FAQ
What is the "Nou-Gol Method"?
It is Japan's first program based on functional neurology, aiming to improve golfers' swings by adjusting neural transmission from the brain. Instead of traditional form correction, it approaches brain function improvement.
What kind of golfers is it recommended for?
It is recommended for intermediate to advanced golfers who struggle with issues such as their score not improving despite practice, falling apart on the course, or being unable to increase their distance.
How does the program proceed?
First, you will experience a current status analysis and simple neural training in a trial session (STEP 0). Then, the main 3-month program (including swing diagnosis, functional neurology evaluation, motor learning theory training, etc.) will aim for gradual improvement.
What is the price?
The trial session costs ¥11,000 (tax included). For the pricing of the main program, please contact the facility.
Is there a refund if there are no results?
Yes, there is a full refund guarantee if no improvement is seen during the trial session.
