QuizKnock, Led by Takuji Izawa, Opens Entries for High School Quiz Battle WHAT 2026 on May 22

QuizKnock, operated by baton inc. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yosuke Kinugawa), began accepting entries for the 'High School Quiz Battle WHAT 2026' (https://what.quizknock.com/), a quiz competition for high school students and younger, on May 22, 2026. High School Quiz Battle WHAT 2026 is an individual quiz tournament that debuted in 2022 and is now in its fifth year. Last year, 2,278 people entered, and 30 middle and high school students who made it through the qualifiers gathered from across the country for a fierce battle. Following last year's format, the event will span two days. All entrants will participate on the first day, and only those who advance will participate on the second day. The first day is scheduled for August 16 (Sun) in Tokyo, Osaka, and online, while the second day will be held at a venue in Tokyo on August 29 (Sat). Registration for the tournament opened today, May 22 (Fri), and will continue until 23:59 on August 9 (Sun). We encourage not only experienced quizzers but also those attempting a quiz competition for the first time to apply. In-person viewing will be available for the second day, with ticket sales scheduled to begin in July. Merchandise will also be sold at the venue. Additionally, the second day of the tournament will be live-streamed on YouTube, so those unable to visit the venue can still tune in and support the contestants.
