Notice Regarding the Acquisition of Shares in Marumasu Masuda Honten Co., Ltd.

Basic Capital Management Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Ouna Kaneda, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) announced that it acquired shares of Marumasu Masuda Honten Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido, hereinafter "Marumasu Masuda Honten") on March 17, 2026, through its operating fund (BCM-VI Investment Limited Partnership). This acquisition was made jointly with a fund (Dai-ichi Hokuetsu Regional Revitalization Investment Limited Partnership No. 3) operated by Dai-ichi Hokuetsu Capital Partners Co., Ltd., a member of the Dai-ichi Hokuetsu Financial Group. Marumasu Masuda Honten, founded in 1918, is a waste paper collection and wholesale company operating throughout Hokkaido and mainly in Aomori Prefecture in the Tohoku region. Its services include waste paper collection and transportation, confidential document processing and recycling, industrial waste intermediate treatment, and livestock bedding manufacturing. This investment supports business succession from the owner. Basic Capital Management will promote further growth of Marumasu Masuda Honten by leveraging its current strengths, focusing on establishing a post-succession management system, improving management, and strengthening sales.
