Basefood Announces Supplier Agreement with Saxophonist Masami Tachikawa

Basefood Co., Ltd. Within this initiative, the 'BASE UP MUSIC PROJECT' supports the 'base-up' of individuals active in or enjoying the music scene. We are honored to have received the endorsement of Masami Tachikawa, a clarinetist and saxophonist, leading to the realization of this supplier agreement. Won the Grand Prize at the 9th Kobe New Artist Music Award Competition.

3rd Place in the University Student/Graduate Wind Instrument Division at the 3rd Ikaruha Music Competition.

Performed as a selected member at the 66th TIAA All-Japan Classical Music Concert, receiving the Encouragement Award. Selected in the Woodwind Division at the 17th Osaka International Music Competition.

Since 2014, has performed at children's hospitals and special support schools nationwide. In 2016, performed in Bulgaria with the Sofia Phil Harmony. In 2018, held the 'Masami Tachikawa Saxophone Solo Recital' at Hyogo Prefectural Citizens' Hall as part of the 'New Artist Development Project Recital Series Vol.17'.

In January 2020, her activities with 'chest' were featured on Yomiuri TV's 'Kansai Information Network ten.'. Awarded the Heisei 30 (Hyogo Prefecture) Young People's Award. Released solo albums 'Urara' and 'Tumugi'. In 2024, performed with the Worldship Orchestra, bringing music to children in the Tondo area of the Philippines. In summer 2025, completed the masterclass by Kurt Franz Schmid at the Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Studied saxophone under Satoko Ishida, Yasuhiro Shinohara, Jiro Akamatsu, Yumiko Komura, and Naomi Tabata. Member of the Kobe Musicians Association.

In the autumn of 2025, I fell ill and struggled to eat properly for an extended period. This experience prompted me to reevaluate my diet.
