Children's Creativity Colors Window Displays: Barneys New York Fukuoka Store Hosts 'Coloring Award', a Participatory Event for Kids

Barneys Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Penny Luo) will hold a participatory event for kids, the 'Coloring Award', at the Barneys New York Fukuoka store from Wednesday, April 29, 2026 (a national holiday), to Sunday, May 31, 2026. Starting in time for Golden Week, this event is a free, participatory coloring service aimed at nurturing children's free-thinking and creativity while allowing families to enjoy shopping at Barneys New York. The line drawings for this coloring event were commissioned from three artists based in Fukuoka: NONCHELEEE, pop0copy, and Hitomi Moriwaki. For coloring, visitors can enjoy the activity inside the Barneys New York Fukuoka store by borrowing the 'Copic Ciao 72-color set' from the 'Copic' brand by Too Marker Products Inc., which is widely used in the fashion industry for creating design sketches. Furthermore, the colored artworks will be exhibited later in the window displays facing Kego Park. From among the exhibited works, the three artists who created the line drawings and Barneys New York will select four pieces to be awarded the 'Coloring Award.' Through this event, Barneys New York aims to deepen its connection with the local community and provide opportunities to nurture the sensibility and creativity of the children who will lead the next generation.
