A BATHING APE® Launches 2026 Spring/Summer 'JAPAN DENIM COLLECTION'

A BATHING APE® is set to release the 'JAPAN DENIM COLLECTION' for the 2026 Spring/Summer season. Based on the concept of 'CREATING THE BAPE® BLUE,' this collection emphasizes 'MADE IN JAPAN,' with production, from dyeing to finishing, carried out entirely within Japan. The lineup includes T-shirts using traditional 'Kurashiki dyeing,' as well as jackets, pants, denim shirts, and bags incorporating vintage denim designs, blending Japanese craftsmanship with BAPE®'s unique street culture. The main graphic, symbolizing the entire collection, is newly created based on the classic BAPE® paper patch design, accented with the 'RED STA' reminiscent of the Japanese flag. Furthermore, the cursive OG logo in chain stitch, matching the denim stitching, naturally harmonizes the classic mood with the brand identity. Two types of T-shirts utilize Kurashiki dyeing, which is gentle on the human body and the environment. By using minimal water and avoiding harmful chemicals, the process achieves deep indigo colors and rich, unique expressions for each piece. By combining discharge printing and distressed prints, the subtle shades and aging characteristics unique to indigo dyeing are delicately expressed.
