Comment from Mitsuru Murai, Chairman of the Badminton Association of Japan

I am very pleased to have signed this comprehensive partnership agreement with the Badminton Association of Indonesia. I am honored that Minister Hoshino of the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia attended the signing ceremony. As part of our global strategy, BAJ aims to 'create a heart-pounding and enriched world through sports' and is strengthening partnerships with various countries. By teaming up as strategic partners that support global growth—not just in terms of competition, but also beyond—with Indonesia, which has a long history and has made significant contributions to the world of badminton, we hope to create new value for the Asian and global badminton communities.

Comment from Ricky Soebagdja, Secretary General of the Badminton Association of Indonesia

Since Chairman Murai visited Indonesia in January this year and proposed the partnership agreement between our two countries, I felt that this agreement would be a very positive endeavor for both sides. I believe it offers particularly great benefits for the development of the younger generation. Furthermore, we are very eager to actively share knowledge in sports science. I look forward to our future cooperation with the Badminton Association of Japan.

About BAJ's Global Strategy

BAJ aims to 'create a heart-pounding and enriched world through sports,' guided by keywords such as 'Healthy (physical and mental well-being),' 'Nurturing (rich character),' and 'Connecting (acceptance of diversity and overcoming division).' We are committed to strengthening top athletes, fostering the junior generation, and promoting badminton to a wide range of generations, regardless of age or gender.

As part of our global strategy, we are working on fostering exchanges and improving the athletic performance of players and coaches in junior categories with various countries, primarily in Asia, while also strengthening international partnerships through sports promotion and personnel exchange via badminton. This agreement is the second partnership with an overseas badminton association, following the one with Thailand. We will continue to support international exchanges for junior players between the two countries, while further promoting sports, cultural, and personnel exchanges.
