The Public Interest Incorporated Foundation, Badminton Association of Japan ("BAJ"), is pleased to announce that the match cards and venues for the "Badminton S/J League 2026-27" have been decided.

The "Badminton S/J League 2026-27" will be held at 15 venues nationwide, from the opening match on Saturday, October 31, 2026, until the "TOP4 Tournament" on Sunday, February 21, 2027.

Furthermore, starting this season, a "15-point, 3-game system" will be adopted, delivering even more fast-paced and exciting matches than before. In addition, a "Judge Assist System" will be introduced at some venues, aiming for a fairer and more attractive league operation.

About the Badminton S/J League

The S/J League is Japan's highest-level badminton league. Many Japanese national team players participate, and high-level matches are held across Japan. 12 men's teams and 12 women's teams are divided into "S Block" and "J Block" of 6 teams each, competing in team matches. As a result of the league matches, the top two teams from each block advance to the "TOP4 Tournament" to compete for the overall championship.

Additionally, the last-place team in each men's and women's league will be automatically relegated to S/J League II. Matches consist of a total of 3 games: 1 singles match and 2 doubles matches (match order: doubles → singles → doubles).
