B&PLUS K.K. (Location: Ogawa-machi, Hiki-gun, Saitama) has developed a "Wireless-compatible Battery Monitor Module" that can be used in combination with wireless charging systems for AGVs/AMRs. The prototype product will be released on Friday, May 15, 2026, and the official release is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2026. This product is a module that acquires the battery's voltage, current, and SOC (State of Charge) in real-time, allowing remote status monitoring via wireless communication. Equipped with alert notification upon anomaly occurrence, log saving, and external signal output functions, it supports the safe operation and predictive maintenance of batteries.

■ Development Background

B&PLUS develops, manufactures, and sells wireless charging systems for AGVs, AMRs, UGVs, etc. In recent years, proposals combining wireless charging systems and lithium-ion batteries have increased, being adopted by many customers.

On the other hand, we have received many requests from customers such as:

- Wanting to grasp the battery status remotely
- Wanting to detect signs of anomalies in advance
- Wanting to respond quickly when trouble occurs
- Wanting to keep records and utilize them for cause analysis and maintenance during anomalies

There are many cases where the battery status is not sufficiently grasped, failing to notice signs of anomalies, resulting in scrambling to respond after trouble occurs.

Additionally, because measurement data is not sufficiently stored and utilized, there were challenges in predictive maintenance, grasping degradation trends, and efficient operation.

Given this background, B&PLUS has developed the "Wireless-compatible Battery Monitor Module" that realizes the "visualization" of battery status and "rapid response to anomalies".

■ Product Overview

By connecting to the battery mounted on AGVs/AMRs, this product measures, records, and displays voltage, current, and SOC in real-time.

The acquired data is transmitted to a PC via wireless communication, allowing the battery status to be checked even from a distance. This enables constant awareness of equipment operation status and battery health, contributing to the efficiency of inspection and maintenance work.

When an anomaly occurs, the module outputs an alert signal. By linking this with notifications and stop processes on the system side, it supports trouble prevention and rapid recovery.

The module also has a function to accumulate log data of voltage and current internally, realizing more advanced operation management such as visualizing the battery usage history and cause analysis during anomalies.

Furthermore, it is equipped with an external output (OUT signal) function, which can flexibly support integration with customers' proprietary control systems and equipment by outputting a signal when an alert occurs or charging is complete.

■ Connection Diagram

The battery monitor module is used by connecting one side to the +/- terminals of the battery and the other side to the +/- terminals of the load side.

Just by inserting it between the battery and the load, battery status monitoring, recording, and wireless transmission are possible.

* Connection diagrams and screen images will be released at the time of official release.

This is the monitor screen on a PC. It displays battery information in real-time. Through wireless communication between the battery and the PC, it is possible to accurately monitor the battery even if the PC is in another room. It can be used within an estimated 50m range. * The screen in the photo is a provisional version of the software. The software is currently under development and specifications, display, etc., may change. The actual screen is planned to display not only voltage values but also current values, SOC, etc.

Various setting items can be changed from the software's settings button.

Also, measured data can be output in CSV format.

■ Benefits of Implementation

- Improves safety through "visualization" of battery status
- Reduces trouble and downtime through early anomaly detection
- Realizes efficient inspection and maintenance work through remote monitoring
- Enables more advanced operation management when used in combination with wireless charging systems
