Asanoya Co., Ltd. (Head Office: 738 Karuizawa, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture, President: Ichiro Sasaki, hereinafter "Asanoya") will release the "Yawataya Isogoro x Asanoya Original Blend Spice," jointly developed with "Yawataya Isogoro Co., Ltd." (Head Office: Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, President: Eisuke Muroga, 9th Generation), a leading shichimi togarashi maker in Nagano, for a limited time starting July 1, 2026 (Wed).

This project is the first collaboration born from the fusion of Asanoya, which has nurtured bread culture in Karuizawa for many years, and Yawataya Isogoro, which has supported Nagano's food culture with its blending techniques dating back to the Edo period. Asanoya's bakers visited Yawataya Isogoro and, through repeated trial production and tasting, pursued a blend that would enhance the flavors of apple pies and bread.

The resulting spice is an original blend that combines the pleasant stimulation of domestic sansho pepper with the floral aroma of yuzu and lemon. Sprinkling it on an apple pie adds a refreshing aroma and lingering taste to the sweetness and tartness of the apples, offering an unprecedented "adult apple pie experience." It is also easy to pair with toast and croissants, as well as drinks and desserts, adding a touch of specialness to everyday bread time.

To coincide with the launch, some Asanoya stores will also offer a limited craft cola using the original spice. We deliver a new way to enjoy bread and spices, proposed by long-established shops in Karuizawa and Nagano.
