Asanoya was founded in 1933 in Kojimachi, Tokyo, an area with many foreign embassies. While responding to requests for authentic bread from foreign diplomats and others, we opened a permanent store in Karuizawa in 1944. Since then, as one of Karuizawa's representative bakeries, we have continued to make bread that brings out the best in its ingredients.
Now celebrating its 93rd anniversary, Boulanger Asanoya has 3 stores in Karuizawa and 14 stores* in the Kanto area, mainly in Tokyo. The 18th store, "Boulanger Asanoya Shibuya Scramble Square Tokyu Foodshow Edge Store," is based on the concept of "the ingredients themselves, and high quality," and offers a carefully selected lineup from long-loved classic breads to popular sweet breads from the Jiyugaoka store. In commemoration of this opening, the Shibuya store will offer a limited-time sale of the exclusive "Sayama Matcha and Dainagon Azuki Rice Flour Cake" and an "Assorted Recommended Bread Set."
Bringing the taste of Asanoya, long-loved in Karuizawa, to the new daily life of Shibuya. At Shibuya Scramble Square, where many people come and go, we will deliver bread and sweets that carefully bring out the charm of the ingredients.
