Survey of 300 condominium/apartment residents: The most unused facility is motorcycle parking at 33.7% (101 people) - among those with it installed (145 people), 68.3% (99 people) do not use it. The most desired improvement is noise countermeasures at 35.3% (106 people).

AZWAY Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Azumi Iguchi) conducted an awareness survey on the actual usage and improvement needs of facilities among residents of condominiums and apartments.

Among unused facilities, motorcycle parking was the most frequent at 33.7% (101 people). Furthermore, looking at the gap between facility installation and usage, out of 145 people who answered that they have motorcycle parking, 68.3% (99 people) replied that they do not use it, suggesting a mismatch between needs and supply.

On the other hand, noise countermeasures were the most frequent improvement request at 35.3% (106 people), indicating that noise is a central source of life stress.

Regarding reasons for not using facilities, "not needed in the first place" was the most common at 59.3% (178 people). However, analyzing other free-response comments revealed that "use everything (no unused facilities)" accounted for 6.3% (19 people), and "facility not present (uninstalled)" accounted for 4.3% (13 people), showing how the presence or absence of facilities and their usage status influenced the responses.
