Live Debut Decided for 'Hamigaki Usagi Kamukam Family Concert' on Sunday, April 26
NPO Corporation Oral Health (Chairman: Takafumi Koyanagi) has been engaged in various activities aiming to revolutionize Japan's oral health awareness through a fusion of 'Dentistry x Entertainment.'
As part of this initiative, we are proud to announce the collaboration song 'Snail, How Many Teeth?' (Katatsumuri Ha Nanbon?) created by 'Kawachan the Fish Brother' (Sakana no Oniisan Kawachan) and our original character 'Hamigaki Usagi' (The Toothbrushing Rabbit). It will be streamed on the YouTube 'Hamigaki Usagi Channel' starting from 5:00 PM on Friday, April 3.
Kawachan, who has been conveying the importance of life with a desire to enrich the future of fish and act as a bridge between children and the sea, resonated with our NPO's philosophy, making this collaboration possible.
The song was completed as an edutainment (Education x Entertainment) song to help children realize that 'their teeth are for a lifetime' by looking at teeth from the perspective of living creatures—'animals have teeth, and fish have teeth too.'
This unique song weaves the number of teeth of various creatures into its lyrics—from humans and rabbits to cats, dogs, dolphins, and even snails. It carries the hope that parents and children can learn together, increasing their interest in teeth and leading to improved oral awareness from early childhood.
Following its YouTube release on April 3, the song will have its live debut at the 'Hamigaki Usagi Kamukam Family Concert' held on Sunday, April 26.
