This product complies with Type 4 (sealed suits for spray protection), Type 5 (sealed suits for airborne solid particulate protection), and Type 6 (sealed suits for mist protection) of JIS T 8115, the Japanese industrial standard for chemical protective clothing.

In workplaces where chemical substances such as harmful dust are present, chemical protective clothing is required. However, it has been challenging to achieve both the protective performance of chemical protective clothing and comfort features such as breathability and moisture permeability, leading to concerns about the physical and mental burden on workers wearing them.

The "AZ GUARD® 2020LK Coverall" uses SMS non-woven fabric, which is made by sandwiching polypropylene meltblown non-woven fabric between polypropylene spunbond non-woven fabrics. This product offers high protective performance, complying with JIS T 8115 Type 4 (sealed suits for spray protection), which was difficult for other SMS non-woven protective clothing handled by our company to meet. It also boasts excellent breathability and moisture permeability unique to SMS non-woven fabric.

Due to the properties of this SMS non-woven fabric material, the clothing adjustment value *2 to be added to the WBGT value (heat stress index) *1 is +0°C, aiming to reduce the physical and mental burden on workers at sites requiring high protective performance due to heat stress.

The heat stress index is widely used worldwide for the purpose of preventing heatstroke. It can comprehensively evaluate the four factors involved in the onset of heatstroke: air temperature, humidity, solar radiation, and airflow, making it a promoted indicator for evaluating heat stress in the thermal environment people are exposed to and for preventing heatstroke.

When measuring and evaluating the heat stress index, in addition to the physical work intensity for each task, it is necessary to consider factors such as wearing special work clothing that does not easily dissipate heat to assess the risk of heatstroke.
