HIPSTER Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Mitsutaka Hokura), which operates the laundry proxy service "Awesome Wash," has signed an "Agreement on Cooperation for Laundry Services in Disasters" with Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo. ## ■Laundry professionals solve the problem of "unable to do laundry" during disasters This agreement stipulates that when a disaster occurs in Shinagawa Ward and shelters are opened, our company will collect and clean evacuees' clothing, and then deliver it back to the shelters (or designated locations). During a disaster, the number of clothes that can be brought into a shelter is limited. Wearing the same clothes continuously raises concerns about odors, mold growth, infection risks, and impacts on mental well-being. Especially for children, the elderly, and pregnant women, hygienic care is indispensable. Amidst this situation, Shinagawa Ward, which is actively preparing for disasters among the 23 wards, and our company have signed an agreement to solve the problem of being unable to do laundry in shelters.
