Celebrating the Release of Self-Cover Albums 'Drug TReatment 2026' and 'CORKSCREW 2026'! AWA Lounge to Host First-Ever Kuroyume-Themed Listening Party!

AWA Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akimi Tokigawa), operator of the subscription-based music streaming service "AWA," will host its first-ever Kuroyume-themed listening party on July 15, 2026 (Wednesday) from 22:00 to 23:00 in the free, online space "AWA Lounge."

This event celebrates the simultaneous release of Kuroyume’s two newly re-recorded self-cover albums, "Drug TReatment 2026" and "CORKSCREW 2026," completed after 30 years. The party will feature tracks primarily from these albums. Participation is free and open to everyone. Kuroyume

A rock band consisting of two members: Seishun (Vocals) and Hitoji (Bass).

They made their major debut in February 1994 with the single "for dear." Starting with their May 1995 album "feminism," all subsequent albums reached the top of the Oricon charts. At the peak of their popularity, they announced an indefinite hiatus in January 1999.

In January 2009, they held a one-night-only reunion and farewell concert at Nippon Budokan, temporarily ending their activities. However, in January 2010, they announced their reactivation. In February 2011, they held a comeback concert at Yoyogi National Gymnasium First Arena and released their first post-reunion album, "Headache and Dub Reel Inch," in November of the same year. From July 2014, they launched their final long tour, "Kuroyume DEBUT 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2014 BEFORE THE NEXT SLEEP."

On February 9, 2025, they made a comeback after approximately 10 years at Tokyo Garden Theatre, followed by an additional performance on the 11th at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama.

"Kuroyume THE PERFECT DAYS TO DIE" begins on July 17.
