AWA Lounge to Host GLAY Special Listening Party to Celebrate May 25th Major Debut Anniversary

AWA Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Akimi Togashi) announced that its subscription-based music streaming service 'AWA' will host a special GLAY listening party on the online space 'AWA Lounge' on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 21:30 to 22:30. The event is free and open to anyone.

This event is held to commemorate GLAY's major debut date of May 25th. A wide range of GLAY's music, from their latest tracks to past hits, will be aired during the session. Anyone can participate in the AWA Lounge for free. By downloading the AWA app in advance, users can further enjoy requesting songs and interacting with other listeners via chat. ■ GLAY

A rock band hailing from Hokkaido.

Formed in 1988, centered around TAKURO (Gt.) and TERU (Vo.). HISASHI (Gt.) joined in 1989 and JIRO (Ba.) in 1992 to establish the current lineup. They made their major debut in 1994. Since then, they have achieved numerous milestones in CD sales and concert attendance, consistently leading the Japanese music scene.

To mark their 30th anniversary spanning 2024 to 2025, they developed various activities under the theme 'GLAY EXPO'. As a grand finale, they held dome live concerts at Tokyo Dome on May 31 and June 1, 2025, and at Kyocera Dome Osaka on June 8, closing with immense success.

On December 3, 2025, they released their 63rd single 'Dead Or Alive', which achieved an unprecedented record of '30 consecutive years of top 10 rankings on the Oricon Weekly Single Chart', updating their own record and making Oricon history.

Furthermore, on December 10, they released the video work 'GLAY 30th Anniversary GLAY EXPO 2024-2025 GRAND FINALE', which captures their 30th-anniversary dome live.

Currently, they are holding a hall tour 'HIGHCOMMUNICATIONS TOUR 2026 "GLAY-complete BEST"', touring 16 performances across 15 locations nationwide starting March 20, 2026.

In 2005, the members established their own private management office. Driven by the desire to 'be more straightforward toward music', they launched their own label 'loversoul music & associates' (renamed to 'LSG' in 2016) and the e-commerce site 'GLAY Official Store G-DIRECT' in June 2010. In 2017, they introduced the official subscription app 'GLAY app' which streams all of GLAY's music and videos. Through music, GLAY continues to aim high and tackle all possibilities with their unique stance.

An online space where users can enjoy playing music together and interact in real time.

Launched in May 2015, the service offers 150 million tracks and hosts approximately 16 million playlists created by celebrities and users. It offers a 'STANDARD Plan' for 980 yen per month (tax included) (*1,080 yen via App Store, Google Play, and convenience store payments), providing access to all features. A 'FREE Plan' allows users to enjoy all features except 'offline playback' for free.
