Lutron HomeWorks Residential Experience Center

AURAS Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroyuki Yamaoka) has expanded its experiential showroom, AURAS Residential Experience Center (AREC) in Roppongi, Tokyo, enhancing its exhibition and experience environment centered on Lutron HomeWorks.

At AREC, in addition to lighting, shade, and curtain control via Lutron HomeWorks, an integrated automation environment powered by Crestron has been established. By seamlessly connecting various home systems—including lighting, shading, video, audio, and climate control—visitors can experience a luxury residential environment where architecture, interior design, and technology converge.

Architecturally Integrated Palladiom Shades

In the Passage area, Lutron’s flagship Palladiom shades are displayed in a five-unit configuration.

The five shades move up and down in precise synchronization, quietly and smoothly, creating a refined integration with the architecture and delivering elegant spatial expression.

Additionally, by combining molo partitions with lighting, a "corridor of light" is created, gently guiding visitors into the interior space.

Comparative Experience of Light with Sivoia QS Display

In the Dining Room, a 163-inch LED wall from Barco Residential is used as a digital window, with Lutron Sivoia QS shades displayed in two sets of four units.

Using both light-colored and dark-colored fabrics, the space enables comparative experiences of different light transmittance and blackout performance.

Visitors can experience how views and indoor environments change depending on fabric selection, simulating natural light control.

Furthermore, synchronized operation of video, shades, and lighting allows for dynamic shifts in the overall ambiance based on time of day or scene, showcasing innovative residential lighting design.

Experiencing Tunable White Lighting in the Living Room

In the Living Room, visitors can experience tunable white lighting that adapts to different times of day and activities.

Even within the same space, adjusting color temperature and brightness enables the creation of distinct atmospheres—relaxation, family gatherings, reading, or home parties.

We propose living spaces where light itself, not just lighting fixtures, is designed.

Circadian Rhythm Experience in the Bedroom

In the Bedroom, visitors can experience a circadian rhythm environment combining Lutron’s motorized curtain rails with tunable white lighting.

The system recreates lighting conditions that support natural waking in the morning and gentle sleep preparation at night, aligning with human biological rhythms.

Motorized curtains feature fabrics from Manatrade, combining functionality with interior aesthetics in a cohesive display.

Integrated Automation by Crestron

AREC features a permanent exhibition of integrated automation combining Lutron HomeWorks and Crestron systems.

With a single touch, lighting, shades, curtains, video, audio, and climate control are synchronized, enabling scene-based control such as "Good Morning," "Good Night," "Movie Time," and "Entertaining."

We propose luxury automation that designs the entire home as a unified living space, going beyond simple device control.

DMX Lighting Effects in the Home Theater

In the Home Theater, visitors can experience RGB lighting effects combining Lutron HomeWorks with DMX control.

By changing the color of the entire space in sync with video content or scenes, we present new possibilities for residential entertainment environments.

Additionally, immersive spatial experiences are demonstrated in conjunction with a 204-inch CinemaScope screen, Dolby Atmos 9.2.6ch audio system, and D-BOX haptic system.
