Oak Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Akiyo Shinmaki), which operates 36 museum shops and cafes at exhibition facilities including museums and aquariums nationwide, began operations at the Osaka Science Museum in Nakanoshima, Osaka, on June 4, 2026.

In line with the mission of the Osaka Science Museum—one of Japan's leading science museums—to 'promote a culture of enjoying science,' the facility features goods and cafe menus themed around 'Space and Energy,' designed for accessibility and engagement.

### An Immersive Museum Shop Experience

The museum shop, located to the right of the entrance and at the end of the exhibition route, is designed to help visitors take home the inspiration they gained from the exhibits. This renewal adopts a white and metallic interior, inspired by a space station, creating an open and airy atmosphere.

The store features a spherical signage projection of the Earth rotating and a round window by the checkout counter displaying images of outer space, creating the sensation of being aboard a space station. Flat signage displays 'Welcome to the Museum Shop' in various languages along with star animations, making visitors feel as though they have journeyed through space to reach the shop.

To help visitors cherish the insights gained from the exhibits—such as 'Science is fun!' and 'Science is unexpectedly close'—the store offers a new selection of stationary, apparel, and food items themed around science, alongside existing original museum goods.

### Global Online Store Launch

A new online store has also opened, offering both new products and a selection of existing merchandise. The shop utilizes a cross-border e-commerce system that allows customers in 228 countries and regions worldwide to purchase items easily. For access from overseas IP addresses, the system displays input forms in the user's local language and provides translation guidance, enabling seamless payments. The system is powered by 'Worldshopping BIZ.'
