The Moonshot Research and Development Program Goal 1, Kanai Project 'Internet of Brains' (IoB), has released the latest SF work for its science communication project 'Neu World' on March 31, 2026. The manga, titled 'Silent Summer Vacation,' is illustrated by manga artist Yoshika Aqi. The story follows Sota, a boy born into a family with the power to manipulate stones, who experiences a mysterious summer vacation at his grandmother's house. While it appears to be a nostalgic coming-of-age story, it hides an unexpected truth. This work is based on interviews with researcher Arulkumaran Kai from the IoB Middleware Group. The project aims to use stories to foster dialogue and co-create a better future. The manga is available for free on the official website.
