ATOMica Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture; Representative Co-CEOs: Mizuki Shimada, Kazuki Nambara; hereinafter "ATOMica") has established "ATOMica AI Academy," a new business to support regional small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in AI implementation. Concurrently, as the first project, we are pleased to announce the holding of a free online experiential seminar for SME business owners, managers, and executives, titled "AI Utilization in Organizations in 2026: 90 Minutes to Learn 'The Current State of AI' and 'Its Introduction and Utilization in Organizations' for Business Owners and Managers."
■ Background and the Vision Behind Establishing "ATOMica AI Academy"
Currently, there is approximately "twice the gap (※1)" in AI utilization between large enterprises and SMEs. Behind this gap are deep-rooted issues such as "lack of specialized personnel" and "insufficient literacy," rather than merely the presence or absence of tools. Many SMEs are in a state of stagnation, feeling "the necessity of AI but not knowing how to specifically incorporate it into management." (※1: Tokyo Shoko Research 2025 survey)
ATOMica deploys community managers in various locations such as co-working spaces, universities, banks, and corporate offices, and plans and operates these facilities. These facilities have expanded to over 60 nationwide, and community managers daily engage in dialogues with people at the forefront of regional businesses, thereby understanding the actual situation of regional companies, including "what they expect from AI and where they encounter difficulties." Based on these insights, we are launching the "ATOMica AI Academy" for regional companies as a place to systematically learn "where to start, how to utilize, and how to connect to results." The academy will be operated by "with AI Office," a new internal organization at ATOMica responsible for AI-related operations.
Through this academy, we aim to dramatically improve productivity and support AI implementation in all business processes within organizations, from customer acquisition (marketing) and recruitment to public relations and the formulation of management strategies. We aim to directly contribute to the regional economy and increase the number of organizations that achieve next-generation management using AI as a weapon.
