●Overview of This Announcement / Towards Solving Social Issues

With the working-age population projected to decline towards 2040, the job opening ratio in the caregiving industry has already surpassed the average for all industries (1.14%) to reach 4.08% in fiscal year 2024 (*). This marks a transition from an era of "recruitment difficulties" to an era of "talent competition." Cases where businesses can no longer operate solely through traditional Japanese recruitment are increasing, making the utilization of foreign caregivers no longer an option but a core management strategy.

On the other hand, many facilities face challenges in accepting foreign caregivers, such as "difficulty in retaining them after hiring," "ineffective on-site training," and "risk of accidents due to communication barriers."

This seminar will provide concrete measures for recruiting, retaining, and developing foreign caregivers into valuable team members. It will cover the impact of new systems scheduled to commence in April 2027, such as "iIkusei Shuro" (training and employment), and the transition from the Technical Intern Training Program. It will also discuss the advantages of entering Japan directly on a "Specified Skilled Worker" visa without going through "iIkusei Shuro." The explanations will be provided from both management and on-site perspectives, considering recruitment costs and retention rates.

Furthermore, we will share insights on how to become a "preferred organization" by understanding the characteristics of Indonesian and Nepalese personnel, who are increasingly being accepted due to their large labor force and high cooperativeness, including their culture and religion. We will also cover practical guidance methods using "Easy Japanese" that can be immediately implemented in the workplace.

Since starting our caregiving business in 1999, our company has expanded its home care and facility care services nationwide. In 2019, we began accepting technical interns, and in September 2020, we launched a support program for Specified Skilled Workers. We have supported over 300 corporate facilities (including those operated by Human Life Care) in recruiting, educating, and supporting the employment of a total of 900 foreign caregivers. Concurrently, we have actively accepted foreign caregivers in our own care facilities, with 168 individuals employed as of March 2026, focusing on nurturing them into "personnel who can shoulder the future of the caregiving industry." This seminar will deliver practical content based on these experiences.

By revitalizing the acceptance of foreign caregivers, our company aims to resolve the human resource shortage, a challenge facing the entire caregiving industry.
