Creating a future where Sepak Takraw is commonly enjoyed in parks across Japan

　We envision a future where Sepak Takraw becomes one of the choices in school physical education, just like basketball or soccer. Adults will enjoy Sepak Takraw after work, just as they enjoy futsal. In weekend parks, people of all generations will be enthusiastically kicking and passing the ball. We aim to make such a scene a part of daily life in Japan.

　Sepak Takraw may have an image of being "acrobatic and difficult." However, its essence lies in the "freedom to connect with anyone, anywhere, with just one ball." We aim to free this sport from the impression that it is "only for a select group of athletes" and nurture it into a "lifelong sport" that can be enjoyed by everyone, from children to seniors, at their own pace.

　This future is built upon daily efforts. A.S.WAKABA creates opportunities for people to experience Sepak Takraw for the first time through local experience classes and outreach programs at schools.

About Sepak Takraw Team "A.S.WAKABA"

　"A.S.WAKABA" is a Sepak Takraw club team based in the Wakabayashi area of Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. Affiliated with the comprehensive regional sports and culture club "Wakabayashi Club" in Setagaya-ku, approximately 30 members, from high school students to adults, practice three times a week at Setagaya Municipal Setagaya Junior High School.

　Under the club philosophy of "Enjoying Sepak Takraw with people all over the world, sincerely and passionately pursuing and disseminating its appeal. We will contribute proactively and dedicatedly to the team, the community, the sports world, and society," we not only strive to improve competitive skills but also focus on promoting the sport and contributing to the community, such as by continuously holding experience classes for the general public for over 10 years.
