Discovering the Charms of Local Tourism with VTubers! "VTuber Inspection Team" Travel Report Released

Asukanet Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Daikichiro Murakami, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market, Stock Code: 2438, hereinafter: Asukanet) is developing the "VTuber Inspection Team" series, where VTubers visit tourist destinations across Japan, as a new initiative to utilize VTubers for regional tourism promotion. This project aims to convey the charms of local tourism to diverse audiences, including the digital generation, who have a high affinity with VTubers. From 2024 to 2026, the team visited Tokushima City (Tokushima Prefecture), Hiroshima City (Hiroshima Prefecture), Tatebayashi City (Gunma Prefecture), and Hanamaki City (Iwate Prefecture), introducing the attractions of each location. This release serves as a report summarizing the efforts from Vol. 1 to 6. We will continue to collaborate with local governments and tourism associations to expand this initiative nationwide. The "VTuber Inspection Team" is a series project where VTubers visit various parts of Japan to discover and promote the unique charms of each region. They actually walk the local areas, experience encounters with local people, delicious food, and scenery that can only be seen there, and deliver the authentic goodness of the region directly to the whole country. Strengthened Appeal to Younger Generations The approachable expressions unique to VTubers contribute to creating new target audiences, mainly through social media. Expanded Potential for Regional Collaboration Through initiatives in the first three cities, collaboration cases with local governments and tourism associations are on the rise. Future Developments Asukanet will continue to expand this project nationwide.
