ASTRO GATE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Akiruno City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Daisuke Oide; hereinafter referred to as 'Our Company') is pleased to announce that on April 1, 2026, we officially launched a large-scale project 'AG-LUNAPORT' to construct an international spaceport on the Moon.

Our Company is considering spaceport initiatives with over 10 countries and regions on Earth, starting with a spaceport in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. This project is expected not only to become a transportation hub connecting Earth and the Moon but also to serve as a base for various fields in the future, such as space tourism, research activities, and resource development. It is attracting global attention towards a future where humanity's sphere of activity expands beyond Earth.

• Planned Facilities: Phase 1: Spacecraft landing and takeoff areas, power supply facilities, communication infrastructure, etc.

　The launch of this project has the potential to greatly change the nature of lunar activities. Until now, lunar exploration has focused on short-term stays and sample collection, but with the construction of AG-LUNAPORT, 'life on the Moon' where researchers can stay long-term, tourists can visit, and resources can be developed, is becoming a reality. Our company will make the Moon not a special place, but 'another destination' that anyone can visit.

　Furthermore, this project involves space agencies and private companies from various countries, and it also has a strong aspect as a symbol of international cooperation. We are proud that this is one of the results of our continuous message that 'space does not belong to one country alone, but is a shared asset of all humanity, and cross-border cooperation is essential.' Among the participating companies are those with cutting-edge technologies in various fields such as space transportation, construction robots, and energy systems, and we are grateful for the high expectations from the industry. This is a massive project being undertaken about 380,000 kilometers from Earth. It will be an unprecedented challenge both technically and operationally, but we believe that 'with every challenge overcome, the future draws one step closer.'
