Asterminds Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shinjiro Honda) has released a report summarizing the results of a "Survey on Generative AI Utilization Status and Organizational Challenges" conducted using "InTake," our AI interview agent. The survey targeted 85 individuals, primarily employees of major corporations and generative AI users.
This survey highlighted a new business challenge, termed "Solo DX," where the utilization of generative AI is confined to the "closed room" of an individual's PC screen and is not translated into organizational knowledge.
Background of the Survey and the Strengths of "AI Interview"
Traditional multiple-choice questionnaires could reveal the "frequency of use" and "tools introduced" for generative AI, but they failed to uncover users' "true dissatisfactions and the expectations beyond them," or "the constraints and rules behind them."
Attempting to gather such in-depth information through interviews was time-consuming and costly due to the challenges in scheduling and securing personnel, often limiting the scope of the survey and making it difficult to ensure the representativeness of opinions.
Therefore, this survey utilized our AI interview agent, "InTake." By having the AI conduct real-time "deep-dive follow-up questions" based on the respondents' answers, we were able to collect genuine opinions and insights, which are difficult to obtain with conventional methods, as a large volume of free-text data.
Survey Result Highlights
1. Discovery of the New Business Challenge: "Solo DX"
The survey results revealed a situation where some high performers are increasing their productivity through personal enthusiasm, but their knowledge is becoming a black box and is not being converted into the overall strength of the organization. We define this state as "Solo DX."
