▼ Overview
While rapidly advancing AI and quantum technologies inspire hope for the future, critical material issues—such as ongoing conflicts, global boiling and natural disasters, aging populations, inequality, and social fragmentation—remain unresolved by SDGs alone. There is growing interest in how businesses and societies can restructure to survive the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world.
In this webinar series, AstaMuse’s Executive Chief Scientist Nobuaki Kawaguchi will discuss more credible future business possibilities based on his books 'Future Map to 2080' (April 2024) and 'Future Map to 2060' (2020).
Following previous sessions—'AI and Singularity,' 'Physical Metaverse and Manufacturing,' 'Well-being in Medicine, Food, and Agriculture,' 'Cities, Sustainability, and Nature-Positive,' 'Economic Security, Geopolitical Risks, and the New World Order,' and 'Beyond Death and Time: The Future of Life and Mind'—this seventh session will serve as a mid-series culmination, refining the overall picture of intelligence evolution.
The session will examine the trajectory from AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) to ASI (Artificial Superintelligence), and the societal transformation on the eve of the Singularity, from multidimensional perspectives including technology, economy, and ethics. It will explore the emergence of Physical AI (embodied intelligence) and spatial intelligence, human-machine intelligence coexistence, industrial restructuring due to intelligence explosion, cognitive enhancement, and the redefinition of human roles. Drawing on recent case studies emerging after the publication of 'Future Map to 2080,' the webinar will deliver higher-accuracy future predictions. Notably, on January 4, Elon Musk posted on X: 'We have entered the Singularity.' The Singularity is no longer science fiction.
This 10-session series will continue to address themes such as Japan’s strategic direction amid complex global dynamics, leading toward a comprehensive conclusion. We invite you to follow the entire series.
Those interested in understanding future business landscapes and uncovering new business opportunities, as discussed by the author known as 'Dr. FUTURE,' are encouraged to register.
※ This session will be a recorded replay of a previous webinar.
