Natsuko Kondo Releases 'KCP-second-', the 2nd Digital Mini Album of Her 15th Anniversary Project

Singer-songwriter and talent Natsuko Kondo released her second digital mini album, 'KCP-second-', on May 18, 2026, as the second part of her 15th-anniversary project. Having celebrated her 15th anniversary last year, Kondo is also actively working as a talent, hosting numerous regular programs on television and radio. Going beyond the boundaries of a 'singer-songwriter', she is widely active with her unique multi-talented capabilities. The 'KCP' in the album title stands for the 'Kondo Natsuko City Pop Project', initiated to commemorate her 15th anniversary. Inspired by classic city pop songs from the 1970s and 1980s, Kondo has been releasing songs with her own interpretation on YouTube, one per month, since 2025. This work is the highly anticipated second installment, compiling the songs released between July and December 2025. It includes six distinct tracks: 'Blue scene', which vividly depicts summer scenes; 'My Love is a Sinking Cherry' (Watashi no Koi wa Shizumu Cherry), featuring a kayokyoku-style melody; 'Mrs. Madonna', portraying an adult woman; 'Country', known for its mellow sound and melancholic lyrics; 'Aizuchi', a love song hinting at the arrival of winter; and 'Open Heart', an uplifting song that showcases Kondo's signature positivity. ■ Comment from Natsuko Kondo 'These six songs color the second half of the Natsuko Kondo City Pop Project.
