ASKUL Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akihisa Yoshida; hereinafter 'ASKUL') has launched Phase 3 of the 'ASKUL EC Marketing Lab' (hereinafter 'the Lab') this month.

Guided by the principle that 'data should be returned to society and actively utilized,' ASKUL established the 'LOHACO EC Marketing Lab' in 2014. Building on this expertise, in 2024, the company expanded its scope by opening access to B2B big data (※1), relaunching the initiative as the 'ASKUL EC Marketing Lab.' This phase will involve 111 participating companies and approximately 260 researchers, jointly accelerating data-driven value creation and e-commerce marketing activities.

Previously, under the B2B plan (※2) introduced two years ago, suppliers were only provided with data on their own products. Starting this year, however, suppliers can now access data on other companies' products within the same category as their own. This enables a comprehensive understanding of category-wide trends and sales fluctuations, supporting more accurate analysis and enhanced decision-making in product assortment, promotional strategies, and product development. Additionally, ASKUL has improved the usability and visual clarity of performance reports, providing a more intuitive and accessible data utilization platform.

Moving forward, ASKUL will continue to leverage the Lab's activities to connect customers and suppliers, aiming to provide a data-driven foundation for realizing a 'Sustainable Hub'—a collaborative ecosystem for creating sustainable value—and to foster a space for learning and growth in e-commerce marketing.
