asken Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; hereinafter 'the Company'), developer and operator of the AI-powered meal management app 'Asken,' which has over 13 million cumulative members and is No. 1 in Japan, announces a change in its management structure effective April 1, 2026. Jiro Amatsu has been appointed as Representative Director and President. Former Representative Director and President, Hiroshi Nakajima, will assume the role of Chairman of the Board on the same date.

Leveraging his experience as a data scientist, Amatsu conceived the basic concept and advice algorithms for the current 'Asken' app during the company's founding preparation phase. He has consistently been responsible for the company's overall strategy and the development of new business areas.

Under the new structure, the company will drive transformation for the next growth stage, centered on the philosophy and user understanding accumulated since its founding, and will work toward realizing its mission: 'Making people's tomorrow healthier than today.'

[New Management Structure (Effective April 1, 2026)] Representative Director and President: Jiro Amatsu (formerly Director) Chairman of the Board: Hiroshi Nakajima (formerly Representative Director and President) Director: Mikiko Michie Outside Director: Takako Kotake (Saito) Audit & Supervisory Board Member: Kazuaki Takeuchi

[Comment from New President Jiro Amatsu] I joined our parent company, Greenhouse Group, in 2007 and launched Asken as an internal venture alongside Nakajima and Michie. Greenhouse was founded in 1947 and has walked the path as a company contributing to health through food. The origin of Asken lies in the thoughts and knowledge regarding food and health cultivated by Greenhouse, and 'Asken' is a product developed by combining these with the power of technology.

'Maintaining a balanced diet is the foundation of being healthy.' While this is obvious, practicing it in daily life is never easy. That is why we have created and refined a system that allows everyone to 'become a little healthier tomorrow than today' without strain.

Meanwhile, the rapid evolution of generative AI is bringing major changes to all industries. In the healthcare sector, major global tech companies and domestic firms are launching products and services utilizing generative AI, and the very nature of how people manage their health is changing.

Amidst this major trend, the life-log data accumulated by Asken over 18 years and the professional knowledge of registered dietitians are assets that can create unprecedented value when combined with generative AI. I will draw up a product vision and business strategy that maximizes these assets to advance our mission and business growth.

[Building the 'AI Dietary Companion Engine'] We will focus on building and evolving the 'AI Dietary Companion Engine' by combining the power of generative AI with the knowledge gained from over 13 million users' life-log data (collective intelligence), nutritional science and registered dietitian expertise (professional intelligence), and individual lifestyle data (personal intelligence).

By integrating this engine into the 'Asken' app, we will significantly innovate the service experience. We will evolve from a 'record-feedback' type experience to one that understands individual challenges and preferences through dialogue, delivering more personalized proposals backed by expertise and performance data. Furthermore, we will automate meal recording to bring the 'effort of recording' as close to zero as possible, realizing an experience where users can focus on 'enjoying food and becoming healthy.'
